Timber windows and door frames can quickly deteriorate in the British climate.
For this sash window renovation project, we repaired both the sash windows and their frames ensuring that all the existing rotten wooden frames were fully treated and renovated before applying our specialist window resin finish.
This work is guaranteed for ten years.
Virtually every window in our Victorian family home needed refurbishing. We really wanted to retain the character of the property and had decided only refurbishment would do. No uPVC for us, but neither did we have the money to spend on entirely new wooden replacement frames.
Contemporary Renovations offered what we were looking for in terms of understanding and the skills to make it happen. We asked for references and Richard arranged for a few past customers to speak to us about their experiences. From Richard's very first visit to assess the condition of each and every window, through to completion of the job, we were increasingly reassured that he knew what he was doing and could be relied on to pay attention to every detail. Over 40 individual sections of window needed either replacing or renovating, including the window sills as well as internal and external paintwork.
Richard kept us duly informed about progress and developments and the work carried out on each window. Any snags we identified, often already on Richard's own list of things to sort out, were duly dealt with until we were happy with the finished results. His team of workers were polite, friendly and unobtrusive as we carried on getting the house back to normal after this major refurbishment.
We are extremely happy with the results and would recommend Contemporary Renovations to any other customer.
